Job Summary
The General Manager will report to the owner of the store and will be responsible for the store’s staff, kitchen /front, and overall operational and management activities. They will ensure that all of the restaurant’s customers are provided with the best customer journey and service experience. As the captain of the ship, they will ensure consistency of food standards, excellent service and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the store. They will be accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining the ideal cost of all the restaurant’s expenses including proper preparation of the weekly roster without sacrificing the customers’ experience. It is the GM’s responsibility to keep the staff motivated and driven, and to create a cheerful professional working environment that will keep our customers wanting to return.
Job Function/ Description
GM will:
-Oversee and manage all areas of operations at the designated Restaurant
-Ensure guest services meet company standards
-Respond efficiently to customer complaints and take appropriate action to solve the problem
-Enforce and ensure the best quality of products possible are served
-Organize and supervise shifts to ensure both staff and customer satisfaction
-Train and develop staff through strong well-organized training and ongoing operational feedback
-Appraise personnel’s performance and provide formal feedback to keep them upbeat and productive
-Estimate consumption, forecast requirements, and maintain stock inventory to ensure product availability and minimum product wastage
-Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety rules and regulations
-Control costs and minimize waste to ensure maximum profitability of the restaurant
-Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example
-Lead all financial areas including sales growth, cost management, and profit growth
-Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control, and sales
-Create and execute plans for sales, restaurant profit, and staff development and set budgets
-Respond to customer complaints and address the root cause of the problem
-Ensure that all employees adhere to the company uniform standards
-Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
Attend any training or meet as and when required by German Doner Kebab or the Franchisee
Monitor daily orders to ensure that stock levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner
At all times promote and follow legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business
Hire, train, coach, and develop the store management team and hourly crew members to build a highly skilled and productive team
Attract new customers and increase restaurant sales by developing and implementing local, regional, and national marketing promotions and activities, including advertising, public and community relations programs, identifying and evaluating local competitors’ store marketing, evaluating program results, identifying and tracking changing consumer demands

-Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience, with responsibility for restaurant profit and loss; previous quick service restaurant experience strongly preferred.
-Work well under pressure-packed situations while maintaining a great attitude

-Ability to work in and out of different temperature ranges.

Job Summary
As a cook, you will be expected to:
-Perform many duties such as preparing meats and other ingredients. Moreover, you will be required to operate and maintain equipment like a freezer and fryers. Keeping a sanitized and clean work area will be your responsibility.
